A general issues on "IPY 2007-2008 datamanagement" was introduced by Masaki Kanao (Polar Data Center of NIPR) on 20th April, 2011 at Science Siminor of NIPR.

Several topics involving the data management issures on polar regions were introduced, such as the SCAR-DIMS, SCADM activities, Japanese NADC status, SAON-IASC activities, Polar Information Commons (PIC), as well as new WDS under ICSU.
