観測機器 | Near InfraRed Aurora and airglow Camera (NIRAC): This camera consists of a few commercial SWIR lenses that are typically used for security/defense purposes, plano-convex lenses, a custom optical filter (center: 1113 nm, FWHM: 13.8 nm) and a 2-D InGaAs FPA. Total optical system is fast (F-number 1.5) and its field-of-view (84° x 68°) is slightly wider than the meridional coverage of the NIRAS-2. The NIRAC can visualize two-dimensional structures of not only aurora but also even weak OH airglow with a cadence of less than 30 seconds. |
