Title | The distribution of dissolved iron (UM0405) |
Sub-Title | Data for the concentration of dissolved iron |
Data Summary | From 6 Jan to 15 Feb in 2005, we have performed observations of the concentrations of dissolved iron in upper waters (0-1,000 m) at Lutzow-Holm Bay and on the Austral sector of the Southern Ocean. The number of the observation stations are 5 within the bay, and 8 including 'Casey base station' on the Austral Sector. Water samples were collected from 12 layers at each station by the acid-clean Niskin-X samplers mounted on a CTD carousel system. The waters were filtered through a 0.22 um filter and acidified to give pH2.2 by addition of high-purity acidic solution. Since we have not yet analyzed these samples, here we do not prepare summary about dissolved iron data. |
