Title | Aerological observation |
Sub-Title | |
Data Summary | The aerological observation provides the meteorological data (pressure, temperature, humidity and wind) of the upper-air to about 30km from the surface. The aerological observation at Syowa Station (SYO) started from 1959. The observation data is transmitted to each meteorological organization of the world by a meterological report on a real-time basis. In addition, quality control of data is performed after return to Japan and data is released by means of Antarctic Meteorological Data (CD-ROM) within one year. Syowa station is a standard observatory of Global Climate Observing System (GCOS). |
