Data Summary | The aerosols, anmonium gas and ozon concentrations of atmosphere were obtained for the cruise of Umitaka-maru UM 08/09. The number size distributions of aerosols were measured using two optical particle counters and condensation particle counter. The scattering coefficient and the absorption coefficient of aerosols were measured using an integrating nephelometer, and a particle soot/absorption photometer, respectively. Based on these real time data, the samples for mycrograph analysis were collected using impactor. For chemical analysis, size segregated aerosol particles (<0.2, 0.2-2, 2-8, >8 um), SO2 gas and NH3 gas were also sampled and analyzed for ionic constituents. At the only clear sky conditions, the aerosol optical thickness was measured with a sunphotometer. |
